Brain injuries are often hidden injuries, and they’re difficult cases to bring because it’s not like you’ve broken your arm and I can slap an x-ray into an x-ray projector and show a jury your broken arm. Closed head injuries, concussions, traumatic brain injury, they all mean the same thing. They are difficult to treat. Sometimes just the passage of time is the only form of treatment.And really sometimes in a “mild traumatic brain injury” there’s nothing mild about it. It can be completely life altering. It can cause you to have issues with concentration, have difficulty in remembering virtually everything. You can do strange things. You can put your groceries in the dresser and your checkbook in the fridge.
The way a brain injury is typically proven is through people who knew you before and after the wreck that gave rise to this injury. One would look to your work history, your educational background, maybe even GPA’s and transcripts from various schools that you’ve attended. To make a brain injury case is difficult as a consequence of the fact that it’s not sometimes apparent.
